Alexis is a senior in the USU Interior Architecture and Design program and will be receiving her bachelor’s degree with a minor in art and marketing this upcoming May. Upon starting her education, she fell in love with everything this career path has to offer. She has always had a creative side and found solace in art and expression. Her time at Utah State has provided her with many leadership opportunities and resources to grow and deepen her knowledge of what it takes to become a designer. She has learned that design is where she feels she can personally make an impact.
As an aspiring hospitality designer, she enjoys creating well-thought-out spaces that foster a sense of human connection and belonging for those who enter them. She believes design has the power to transform ordinary environments into extraordinary ones, uplifting spirits, encouraging productivity, and creating a sense of belonging. Alexis strives to design not only for aesthetics but also for the good of other people. Human-centered design is not only about meeting the practical needs of occupants, but also evoking positive emotions, encouraging social interactions, and supporting overall well-being. She is eager to apply her skills and passion for design to contribute positively to the industry and create interiors that leave a lasting impact on individuals and communities alike. Discovering her love for design is something she is forever grateful for as she can apply herself to something she is devoted to every day.
